Brief biography

received the Laurea degree in Electrical Engineering from Politecnico diTorino, Italy in 1987. 

I obtained my Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1996. My advisor was Munther A. Dahleh 

I held a control engineer position at Fiat Research Center from 1987 to 1990.

I was Postdoctoral Associate at the Laboratory for Information and Decision Systems at MIT form 1996 to 1999, working with Sanjoy K. Mitter
